Resident of the Month – Margaret “Peg” Duffy

My name is Margaret Duffy, I like to be called “Peg”. I was born in Philadelphia, PA. Around the age of 13, we moved to New York because of my father’s job. I attended and graduated from Queen of Rosary Academy in Amityville, Long Island, New York in 1954. Soon after graduating, we moved back to Philadelphia.

I met my husband Joe Tulencik while working at Frankford Arsenal of Philadelphia. We married in 1960 at St. Matthews Church of Philadelphia and honeymooned in Florida. My husband worked for the government until his retirement. We have four children: Meg, Joe (deceased), Kathy, and Michael, and two grand-children who are twins: Corey and Caela.

I worked in the healthcare industry at Horsham Clinic in Ambler, PA, as well as Lower Bucks Hospital and Warminster Hospital.

I enjoyed traveling, especially on cruises to such places as the Virgin Islands, Cuba, and Bermuda to name a few.

I enjoy living at the Cottage because of the people and the excellent care I receive.
