In August of 1896, gold was discovered in what is now known as Bonanza Creek, Yukon, which began the Klondike Gold Rush. We celebrated this Golden find with a Golden scavenger hunt, Golden oldies, and a Gold Rush Party with delicious Golden food. We had a Golden day!

Fall has arrived and with-it seasonal snacks. We enjoyed making a caramel sauce for our apple slices.

End of Summer Party

We celebrated the change of seasons with treats of cotton candy, popcorn, carnival games, snow cones and our annual water balloon battle! Staff, Residents, Families, and Friends of the Cottage came prepared to get wet on a Friday afternoon. Water balloons and water guns were filled and refilled with water as we splashed around and popped the water balloons on each other. The best part was ending the afternoon with dumping buckets of water on Lawrence and John!
