Columbia Cottage Assisted Living Community Takes Precautionary Measures in Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic

March 17, 2020

Due to increasing cases of COVID-19 in the state of Pennsylvania, we are using prudent judgement and restricting visitation to Columbia Cottages as a measure to protect our residents.

Only Columbia Cottage employees and essential medical personnel will be allowed to enter our community at this time. Upon reviewing information and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the Pennsylvania Department of Health (PA-DOH), the Office of Long Term Living (OLTL), we believe it is precautionary to implement these measures at this time. We will continue to evaluate information as it becomes available and adjust our protocols as needed. These measures have been implemented as a precaution. There are currently no presumed or confirmed cases identified in our Columbia Cottage communities.

We understand the importance of loved ones remaining in contact and encourage visitors to use alternative communications methods if possible, such as telephone, email, text, video chat or social media.  Loved ones are encouraged to call to check in on those residents who are not able to communicate via alternative methods.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work together to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our residents and staff.
