Quality & Compassionate Care

Welcome

Columbia Cottage is more than just a building in which residents receive care. Rather, it is a remarkable, thriving and unique community comprised of trained and caring staff who are dedicated to providing quality and compassionate care to each and every resident each and every day.

We promote independence and well-being while offering support and assistance as and when it is necessary. Unique to Columbia Cottage are seven levels of care. We practice “Aging in Place” and adhere to a “resident-centered” philosophy of care that encourages and supports our residents to live their lives and structure their days as they each may choose. Our residents live and enjoy life to the fullest knowing that they are safe and secure and cared for by our wonderful staff. Indeed, the majority of our residents are with us to the end of their days.

Columbia Cottage is a pioneer in the field of Assisted Living. It was the first company in Pennsylvania to have multiple communities licensed as Assisted Living.

We are not a Nursing Home. We are an alternative to a Nursing Home. We offer individualized care plans that promote and respect the individual wants, needs and preferences of our residents.

We are not a Personal Care Home. As an Assisted Living Residence, we are held to higher regulatory standards than a Personal Care Home relating, for example, to staffing requirements, care requirements and our apartment units.

Why choose us? Because we provide our residents with a quality of life that is unmatched and assure that they have access to increased levels of care when and as they may need it. We genuinely care about our residents and their families and have built our reputation on how we deliver on our commitment to them. We hope that you trust us enough to demonstrate that level of care and commitment to you.

We invite you to call our community and schedule a visit so that we may personally demonstrate to you how residents enjoy their life experiences in our communities. It is important that you meet with our staff and talk with our residents and their families and understand why they have chosen to make us their home.

Hopefully, you will too!
